Individual
Psychotherapy

I work with children individually who are struggling from various type of problematic behaviors that may have developed as a result of abuse, domestic violence, divorce, separations, bullying, video games, moving, homelessness, blended families, adoptions, and foster care.

I enjoy working with children of all ages; male and female. I focus a great deal of attention building rapport with each child to increase trust, improve their willingness to share thoughts and feelings, and to be motivated to make changes outside of therapy.

Laughing and having fun is very important for managing mental health struggles. During session, besides having serious discussions and focusing on goals, time is set aside each session to let the child relax and just have a few minutes to have fun and not think about some of their struggles. In my experience this has proven to help my clients a great deal to remain motivated to work on homework assigned to them each week and to change behaviors.
