Trauma
Therapy

During session the child will learn how to talk about and identify thoughts and feelings associated with the event. While the child is learning how to manage feelings associated to the event they will learn strategies for coping with emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Family members will be involved during part of the sessions to learn how help the child manage their emotions and support their child when he or she is having a difficult time.

At the end of treatment the client will be able to talk about the event, manage symptoms, caregivers will be able to respond appropriately, and the client will have learned how to move forward in life in a healthy manner.
